On May 9, 2022, at approximately 12:02 p.m., a man entered Citizens Bank at 4075 Wilson Blvd. in Arlington, Virginia. He jumped over the counter and demanded the teller open the cash drawer. The suspect implied that he had a gun by threatening to shoot the teller, but he never brandished a weapon. The suspect was unable to take any cash and fled on foot.
At approximately 12:12 p.m. that same day, the suspect entered Bank of America at 901 N. Stuart St. in Arlington. He implied that he had a weapon and demanded the teller put money on the counter, but he never brandished a gun. The suspect took cash and fled on foot.
The suspect may frequent Ballston Quarter, a shopping mall in Arlington, Virginia.
