CAUTION

On August 13, 2018, an unknown Black male subject entered the First Citizens Bank located in the 13000 block of Midlothian Turnpike in Midlothian, Virginia. The subject approached the victim teller, and handed them a demand note stating he had a gun and wanted money. The victim teller did not comply and the subject fled the bank on foot. The subject is described as a black male, approximately 20 to 30 years of age, 5'10", medium to average build with black hair and a goatee. During the robbery the subject wore sunglasses, a black wig and a white long-sleeved button-up shirt.

Investigators believe this subject, along with an accomplice, may be connected to other suspicious incidents. On July 23, 2018, it's believed the same individual who entered the First Citizens Bank visited the First Community Bank located in the 14000 block of Sommerville Court in Midlothian, Virginia, under the pretense of opening an account. On July 24, another unknown Black male subject entered the same First Community Bank, and initiated a dialogue with a teller appearing nervous as he looked around the bank. When asked to provide identification, the subject left the bank. Shortly thereafter, a witness noticed two suspicious men crouching near the bank attempting to conceal their faces; when noticed, the subjects fled on foot. It is alleged the same individual who visited First Community Bank on July 24, 2018, visited the same bank again on August 13, 2018; this time inquiring about directions. This suspicious behavior prompted the bank to lock the exterior doors as a precaution; shortly thereafter another subject attempted to gain entry into the bank and left when he failed to do so. Within hours of this encounter on August 13, 2018, the two suspicious individuals at First Community Bank, appeared to have been involved in the robbery of the First Citizens Bank.
