  • Remarks: The unknown suspect wore glasses; a dark, hooded jacket; dark jeans; and dark shoes (possibly sneakers). He had facial stubble and a thin mustache.

On May 26, 2018, at approximately 11:46 a.m., an unknown male suspect entered the Umpqua Bank located at 539 Broadway Avenue East in Seattle, Washington. The unknown suspect was armed with a box cutter and threatened a teller, demanding money from their till. The suspect threatened to kill the teller and their coworker. The victim teller complied with the unknown suspect's demands and, as the suspect was exiting the bank, the suspect threatened a witness, telling the witness to drop their phone and not call the police or the suspect would kill them. During the robbery, the unknown suspect made remarks regarding his mental state, saying he was "schizophrenic." He had entered the bank 30 to 45 minutes prior to the robbery, inquiring about opening an account with the bank but giving no personal information.
