UNKNOWN ATTEMPTED BANK ROBBERS

DESCRIPTION

  • Remarks: The first subject was described as a Black male with a thin build, a dark complexion, short hair, and approximately 5’8” tall. He was described as wearing a black puffy jacket with a hood. The second subject was described as a Black male with a thin build, a dark complexion, long dread locks, and approximately 5’2” to 5’3” tall. He was described as wearing a white t-shirt and a black puffy jacket.

CAUTION

On January 27, 2016, at approximately 1:55 p.m., two male subjects attempted to rob the BB&T Bank located at 3101 14th Street NW in Washington, DC. The subjects entered the bank, approached the victim teller, and demanded money via a note. The subjects then fled the bank on foot.

REWARD

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of these individuals.

The FBI/MPD Violent Crimes Task Force is investigating this attempted robbery and requests that anyone with information call the FBI at 202-278-2000 or MPD’s tip line at 202-727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the police department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.
