UNKNOWN BANK ROBBER

DESCRIPTION

  • Height: Approximately 5’5” to 5’7”
  • Sex: Male
  • Race: Black
  • Age: Mid-20s
  • Remarks: The unknown subject wore his hair in shoulder-length dreads. In both robberies he wore thick-framed glasses, blue jeans, and black shoes. In the first robbery he wore a blue-and-gray North Face jacket. In the second robbery he wore a puffy black jacket.

CAUTION

On January 19, 2016, at approximately 9:00 a.m., an unknown male subject attempted to rob the PNC Bank located at 4100 South Capitol Street SE in Washington, D.C. He entered the bank, approached the victim teller, and demanded money via note. He then fled the bank on foot.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., the same unknown male subject robbed the PNC Bank located at 2000 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue SE in Washington, D.C. He entered the bank, approached the victim teller, and demanded money via a note. He then fled the bank on foot.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of this bank robber. The FBI/MPD Violent Crimes Task Force is investigating this robbery and requests that anyone with information call the FBI at 202-278-2000 or MPD’s tip line at 202-727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the police department’s TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.
