An unknown male suspect is wanted for his alleged involvement in the armed robberies of the BankTrust located at 415 North Dean Road, Auburn, Alabama and the Phenix Pride Federal Credit Union located at 1810 Opelika Road, Phenix City, Alabama.
The first robbery occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. CST on January 13, 2010. The suspect wore a blue baseball cap with a St. Louis Rams football team logo, a red and blue striped long-sleeved polo shirt and blue jeans. He carried a handgun and demanded money from the teller, who placed the cash in a white, zippered bag produced by the suspect. He then ordered the teller and branch manager to the women’s restroom, left the bank through the front doors and was not further observed.
The second robbery occurred at approximately 3:00 p.m. CST on May 24, 2010. The suspect wore a blue baseball cap with a St. Louis Rams football team logo, a white t-shirt and blue jeans. He used a handgun and demanded money from the teller, who placed the cash in a brown plastic bag provided by the suspect. He then ordered both tellers to the ground and exited the bank. He may have fled in a blue Mitsubishi Raider pickup truck.
